The Westcliffe is a real gem with a phenomenal breakfast, stunning views of Ailsa Craig from multiple rooms and the breakfast room, and a wonderful proprietor - Jane. My wife and I stayed mid-week and found the hotel to be comfortable and well maintained. The real star of the show is Jane, who is so sweet and accommodating. She is truly passionate that you have a great stay and is great for a chat as well. She makes a scrummy breakfast and was so kind to us as we were in Girvan for a funeral and were in and out throughout the days we were there. We will stay again!

Our family hadn’t been to Girvan in 30 years and coming back to the Westcliffe was a lovely trip down memory lane(especially the red carpet!!) It was everything we remembered and more! Proprietor Jane, daughter Liz, Megan and the entire staff made us all feel so welcome. Any request was met with, “Och, ‘tis nae bother!” We had a lovely family reunion in the downstairs dining area and cozy pub. Comfy accommodations, gorgeous views and walkable to anywhere in town: convenient to the beach, park, ice-cream, arcades, fish n chips, indoor swimming, church and museum. Very family friendly-ours wanted to move in! ‘Til next time-with love!

amazing hospitality by Jane,couldn't have done anymore to make my stay any better.Loved the lovely old Victorian home and being right on the beach is an extra bonus.Will stay there again if ever back in Girvan.Great breakfast!Great to be able to do my laundry.Thanks Jane for everything ,plus driving us.

I am currently working on a contract just outside the town, was a bit apprehensive reading the reviews. There right of us here all in some occupied rooms which are all very large,yes the hotel is a bit dated as specified in reviews but if you are looking for something extravagant then you must be prepared to pay the premium, this is a family run hotel and owners are very freindly and make you welcome.

Will live with us for eternity. Stayed here several times. View is nice but this is an EXPENSIVE dosshouse. Wanted to share custom with local businesses but it's the pits. Families with babies in the next room. Cots, prams, washing dryers immediately outside your door. Waiting for a council flat? When you add cooked breakfast into the price it's comparable to stay at the TRUMP Turnberry hotel. Out of season with a voucher anyway. The "other" Girvan hotel, is just as bad. Don't try the third, above the pub. A disgrace to the country in our view. And I'm Scottish!
Just look at their website! I recommend their "About Us" page and "Location". Says it all! Content may arrive in the late 1990s? 2000s?, 2010s? 2020s? or later! EMPTY PAGES!!!! Well done WESTCLIFFE HOTEL, we're as impressed as ever.
